In addition, the AANS/CNS Section on Tumors counsels the AANS and CNS and the AANS/CNS Washington Committee in all matters related to central nervous system tumors. The Section is committed to raising awareness of our subspecialty.

- Actively campaigning to maximize Medicare and managed care reimbursement for neurosurgeons
- Working to implement beneficial CPT coding changes and policies
- Developing new research funding opportunities
- Educating other medical specialties and the general public about our subspecialty
