In addition, the AANS/CNS Section on Tumors counsels the AANS and CNS and the AANS/CNS Washington Committee in all matters related to central nervous system tumors. The Section is committed to raising awareness of our subspecialty.
Your dues support the following activities:
- Aggressively advocating for medical liability reform
- Actively campaigning to maximize Medicare and managed care reimbursement for neurosurgeons
- Working to implement beneficial CPT coding changes and policies
- Developing new research funding opportunities
- Educating other medical specialties and the general public about our subspecialty
Membership in the Section on Tumors also provides:
- Formal acknowledgement of your special interest in tumors with enhanced credibility with tumor patients and in medico-legal activities
- Access to members-only Web site pages with listings of clinical trials and research funding opportunities
- Access to colleagues with similar interests

All applications for membership in the Section on Tumors are processed through the AANS.
Submit your Application Today!
You will be directed to myAANS. Please log on to your account. Choose “Application-Section Membership” from the menu on the left. Then choose “Create a new application” and then “AANS/CNS Section on Tumors” from the drop down menu. Then follow the instructions.
Membership Renewal
If you are a current member and have not yet paid your 2021 Tumor Section dues, you can pay online by going to MyAANS.org and select “My Invoices,” then “Outstanding Invoices.” The Trauma Section accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. If you have any difficulties making your payment online, contact AANS member services at [email protected] or 847.378.0500.
