Description

The 2017 International Society for Intraoperative Imaging Meeting will be held February 23-26, 2017 in Hannover, Germany.

New methods and refinements to iMRI, iCT and iUS will form the core of this conference. However, within the concept of combining imaging and therapy, new avenues, such as MR-guided Focused Ultrasound, or rediscovered ones like Interstitial Laser therapy have reached clinical application. Also, enlarging the functionality of the microscope has opened promising routes employing the full spectrum of light (fluorescence-guidance, spectral imaging etc.). Introducing cutting-edge technology into the OR to benefit our patients, the IOIS represents a truly interdisciplinary effort, bringing neurosurgeon´s, neuroradiologists, neuroscientists and biomedical engineers together. Experts in the fields will present the respective methods, and show their current status and potential.

The combination of introductory lectures, sessions with dedicated topics and free papers will provide in depth coverage of complex issues as well as a display of the breadth of clinical applications.

The invited lectures by outstanding leaders in the field will be covering the development of intraoperative Imaging, basic research in tumor invasion, robotics and brain-machine interfaces.
